Susan’s experience includes a variety of human resource and customer service leadership roles at Maine companies, including Hannaford, L.L. Bean, Maine Sport Outfitters and Cheney Financial Group. The opportunities to lead both staff and front-line functions helped Susan to develop a broad and balanced perspective regarding diverse, and sometimes conflicting, human resource and business issues. In her current role as independent consultant, she assists small organizations with any human resource or customer service training and management needs. She is also able to lend her diverse perspective by volunteering on various boards, most recently the Damariscotta River Association.
A resident of Newcastle and, seasonally, an island community in South Bristol, Susan is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying sailing, hiking, and gardening. She also loves to learn by traveling and exploring new cultures, history and natural wonders, whether far away or closer to home.
